LEADERSHIP
Introduction
Leadership is a very important part of the novel ‘Animal Farm’ by George Orwell. Without leadership, there would be chaos and madness there would be a lot of confusion on animal farm. But a lot throughout the novel leadership was misused manly by Mr Jones and Napolean. When they were both in the position of a leader at Animal Farm it made the animals miserable and unhappy. Everything they did was for themselves. But on the other hand, when Old Major was in charge of the animals he shows good leadership and kept the farm on track although it was being run by a lunatic Mr Jones.

S As you know leadership is a very important part of animal farm, leadership keeps the farm under control and it keeps things fair. Also, rules that are set from the leaders prevent trouble. E For example when they got rid of Mrs Jones and the started to make there own crops and they all had their own jobs. X This wouldn’t have happened if there was no leadership. Y I think that is very important to have a responsible leader to keep us in line but not power to much.

Misuse of leadership is very common in animal farm. The misuse of leadership in the novel animal farm causes the animals to stave, suffer and be others worked with not enough time to recover. The leaders that misuse leadership in this book were Mr Jones and Napoleon. For example, when Mr Jones was in charge he made the animal stave for days on end without food. This made it harder for the animals to work in the day. I believe that sometimes having a bad leader is worse than having no leader.

Although misuse of leadership used a lot throughout the novel animal farm there were times that leadership was well used. For example, when Mr Jones was in charge he causes salvation and unhappiness old major kept their spirits up and gave them hope. Old major was a born leader he knew what to do in a time of need and he all way knew what was best for the animals. Even when old major passed the animals stuck by his seven commandments. I believe the way that old major lead the animal is far more effective then napoleons ways. I think that to be a good leader you need to make your followers believe in you not be scared of you.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I think that leadership is one of the key ideas from the novel animal farm because of leadership is a very important part of the novel without it there would be chaos. Also the misuse of leadership from Napoleon and Mr Jones very significant and last of all the good use of leadership and how old major showed just that. The book wouldn’t have a purpose without leadership.
